“Piper is one of my great examples of the pathos of preaching. A man on fire for truth. No games played. No time to waste. Just give it straight from the Word. Pastorally, passionately, convincingly and convictingly.
When it comes to his theology, there's a lot I agree with (his basic Reformed positon). Though Piper is a self-confessed "Reformed", I am said to say he is hardly orthodox in the sense of a confessionally Reformed position. He is definitely a five-point, yeah seven-point (as he says) Calvinist. He regularly dabbles with the doctrine of justification though, which the listener ought to be aware.
