I think Spurgeon would approve
I first became aware of John Piper through his book, "Desiring God", back in 1989. It was given as a gift. It wasn't until I read "The Supremacy of God in Preaching" that my heart began to burn with the strong biblical truths of the doctrines of grace. As a pastor, I longed to have a heart that burned with passion for God, His glory, His sovereignty and the preaching of the cross of Jesus Christ. John Piper epitomizes that today. I would love to hear Jonathan Edwards or Charles Spurgeon give comment on Piper's preaching of the Word. I think they would strongly approve and give a hearty "Amen!"Read full review »

John Piper is a true man of God. The way he teaches the word, without watering it down or compormising the scriptures or Holiness of God, is amazing. This has become a regular staple in my spritual life. Thank you John Piper.
