Le Poope's Podcast is anything but!
I've been a Kids in the Hall fan since my friend and I found his older sisters "Best of KITH" VHS in his basement. I remember seeing sketches such as Cabbage Head and Citizen Kane and falling in love. They are still one of my favourite comedic influences and I've had the pleasure of seeing them live twice. I've seen Bruce & Mark in the Calgary Comedy Gala, Dave Foley did stand up at the Blackfoot Hotel and the first time I ever attended the Calgary Folk Festival was to see Kevin in the comedy tent...where he proceeded to molest a member of the audience while describing it for those listening on the radio. One of my favourite moments to this day (and I've been a volunteer with the festival every year since then). I stumbled upon this podcast by accident, I think I was searching to see if any of the kids had stand-up albums on iTunes, and I'm so glad I did. It is hilarious. Kevin has always been my favourite Kid (Stumphand Waiter, The Beard & How to Survive a Grizzly Attack are some of my all-time favourite sketches) and he is consistently hilarious on every episode I've listened to so far. One of my favourite things is getting to know more about Kevin. For example I had no idea he had such a wicked taste in music and hearing him fangirling about Big Star with Suzanne Hoffs was a great moment. As a musician myself I always love when comedians use music in their act and Kevin provides great songs as the opener to almost every episode (my personal favourite so far is the song about Not LA and the KITH history which I got to see performed live last time they were in Calgary...if you're reading this Kevin...please come back...with or without the Kids!). The interviews are also entertaining and informative, the aforementioned Suzanne Hoff interview was really sweet. I think my favourite interview was with Scott Thompson...his tale of trying to put his sick Cat down is one of the most disturbingly hilarious things I've ever heard. I think this is the first time I've ever left a review on iTunes. I just wanted to let Kevin know that there are listeners out here and we are loving it! The format of the show is perfect. If I had one criticism it would be that sometimes the announcers can overplay their part and get a little obnoxious. But that's a minor issue in an overall fantastic podcast!Read full review »

I am still so happy that Kevin is doing a podcast. I’ve been listening since the first episode. I love how zany, endearing and authentic he is and the guests are great. I’ve been a Kids in the Hall fan since I was 17 (25 now) when I first saw a KITH rerun on Comedy Central. It was the episode...Read full review »

This podcast is great, I love to hear Kevin's stories! The guests and music round out the package. I'm glad that marginally successful tv stars in their 50's are given a chance, especially in this era of immigrant hate...Evil☠️👻💀🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦!Read full review »

Being a Kids In The Hall Fan, I might be viewed as biased, but this is a very engaging podcast. It makes fun of itself, great guests, and funny writing. Kevin Mcdonald has finally found his solo path where he can shine like the other Kids. Very funny.
