Great!
Mr. Kunstler successfully articulates what is wrong with how society is constructed. I grew up in a town called Clifton Park, NY, which is just south of Jim's town. When I was about 7 years old, our town allowed a forest to be bulldozed so its first mall could be built. I remember thinking that that was going to kill main street in Schenectady, where I used to go shopping with my mother. The mall and the suburban way of life was the only option available to me and it subconsciously disturbed me. When I was in my mid 30s, a friend gave me Jim's book "Home From No Where". I fell in love with his voice and appreciated his insight. He expressed and validated what was bothering me about our way of life. I really enjoy his podcast and his refreshing views! Great job Duncan and Jim!Read full review »

Bitter, hyper-cynical, over caffeinated or just plain cranky are all words that could be used to describe Kunstler, a modern day Cassandra doomed to spot on revelations about the future of suburban life that few people (in power) seem to have the stomach to listen to. However, dismissing his...Read full review »
