This podcast is great for advanced-intermediate learners who wish to improve listening skills and learn advanced conversational vocabulary and grammar. Explanation in English is kept to a minimum: 97% French vs 3% English. Other podcasts “over-explain” in English and present very little French.

Gaëlle talks about diverse topics in easily understandable French. I just wish that there were another podcast by Gaëlle designed for B2 and above level. Really enjoyed the podcasts and I’m sure learners at beginner or intermediate levels will greatly benefit from listening to this podcast.

Lovely presenter and interesting information, but it’s just far too slow and is marred throughout by very frequent translations into English which completely defeat the object.

Gaelle is a fantastic communicator, and conveys the nuances of French with ease. I highly recommend her as a teacher, and her method of teaching is not haughty, or too inappropriately elevated, as was the case with my previous experience. She introduces new topics and phrases that hopefully...Read full review »

I have been learning Frech on and off for 25 years, this podcast is a gem for me. I’m not visual learner, so auditory leaning works much better for me. And this podcast, both the sound and content quality are second to none.

I’m very grateful for subscribing to this Podcast. I dropped French in School after studying it for 3 Years, and am now trying to learn it casually while working full Time. Gaëlle’s “slower” Enunciation, and vocabulary Selection, is perfect for my comprehension Level (approximately A2). With the...Read full review »

Great - I'm at around A2 for French and a native English speaker. I find these episodes very helpful especially as they focus on a range of issues that don't often come up in lessons, such as talking about agriculture or the difference between légalisation and dépénalisation de cannabis...Read full review »

Soy español y creo que es un podcast perfecto para aprender un nivel básico. Se entiende muy bien y es muy entretenido. Es verdad que las explicaciones son en inglés y puede suponer un problema si no lo hablas. Muchas gracias por tu trabajo.

Understanding is one of the difficult parts of learning a new language. The podcasts are slow but the key element are the topics. Langua manages to keep you interested and also helps you to learn vocabulary and how to conjugate properly in an easy passive way. Give it a go!

Un podcast très intéressant et divertissant mais pour moi c'est une erreur de continuer à traduire des mots français vers l'anglais. Premièrement, c'est irritant parce que cela interrompt le flux et deuxièmement, cela encourage la mauvaise leçon selon laquelle, si vous avez des...Read full review »

I am a beginner/intermediate French speaker, taking lessons in a small group. I cannot keep up with normal-paced French podcasts, but I can understand this one. And the topics are very interesting. I straight-up enjoy it!

This is perfect for me! The subjects are interesting and the speed is ideal. I live in a community where very few are speaking french so to be able to listen to an intermediate level, compelling podcast is lovely.

This is a great podcast for learning French, and I was really enjoying it until they released the episode about Simone Veil. I'm not great at French--it takes me 2-3 times listening thru a podcast to get what's she's taking about. But she talks slowly enough that I can eventually make out the gist of it. Then I can read along on the website to dive in deeper. It's perfect! Thank you! I would love to...Read full review »

At the start of the episode Gaëlle says that 99% of the podcast will be in French.
