Why do some guests get interrupted more?
The episode I listened to on alone/funerals Chidera Eguru was interrupted constantly which made it very difficult to follow the points she wanted to make. The other guests were interrupted much less and were able to continue their points after. If this had been a man interrupting the only woman on a panel this would have been considered absolutely outrageous. How is it ok when the minority in question is young and black? I write this as middled aged heterosexual white woman. We need to be more open to different and controversial voices. I found Chideras topic by far the most interesting and feel disappointed that she wasn't allowed to fully explore it.Read full review »
