Leadership
A very interesting one this week (replacing my previous Woman's Hour listening - usually listen to Lauren on 6 Music!!). As an ex-mil officer (so supposed leader), I enjoyed ther review of Dixon's On Psychology of Military Incompetence. It was the book that inspired me to take OU Psychology and although not many may agree with Dixon's [Freudian] analysis these days, his application was experiemental, and having led in the RAF for over 35 years, many of his leadership 'outcomes' were bang on - so thank you for raising this awareness - especially becasue it represents a male-led, authoritarian leadership of a bygone age. Would throughly recommend the New Psychology of Leadership (Haslam, Reicher & Platow), which centres on Social Leadership Theory - adn is more in-keeping with modern [military] leadership. Civil Partnership - does sound 'administrative'. How about Civil Union. Or just Union. Many Humanist celbrants are expert at creating ceremony and ritual, without recoursr to religion, paganism or faux-spitiuality. Stuart Cairns - slcsquaredRead full review »

Thought provoking. Interesting. Learn something new every episode. Not at all ‘awkward girly laughs’ but proper discussion. Needs to be longer as I feel we only just get into the discussion.

Really enjoy this podcast - Lauren Laverne is an amazing host and I could listen to her read the football results. Great topics and really wide variety of guests which make you think. This podcast means that you’re getting brainier and relaxing at the same time. Wonderful!

Just a full ep of bashing feminism in a reductive,...Read full review »
