Echo chamber, more of the same
Only one episode in but as expected much like the parent podcast the rest is politics; this podcast is Alistair berating someone he doesn’t agree with while Rory doesn’t have the minerals to challenge him In the first episode the two now joined by Heseltine; rehash arguments from brexit, presenting strawman arguments to explain away the democratic crisis in the UK the referendum revealed (+70% of representatives vs the referendum result). The podcast descends into Alistair using faux questions to an 89 year old man as a jumping off point to make personal attacks on Rishi Sunack. In reality how different is Rishis super-wealth to Alastair's or Alastair's talisman Tony yet tony remains “in touch”. Like the parent podcast small anecdotes, diamonds of insight from the individuals in the arena. No doubt it will be successful and I will be a subscriber for those small diamonds but I do wish Rory would actually provide some challenge and Alistair would present some sort of humility….Read full review »
