Instantly Lost Credibility
This series was recommended to me by a colleague, so I was looking forward to listening and learning. As soon as Laurie used the very dated term "HR Lady" in her intro (more than once!) she lost credibility in my mind. Not only is the term obsolete, it's also sexist and demeaning. There are many great males in HR, as well as females - most of whom won't appreciate being called "HR ladies." If your purpose is to revolutionize work, starting out with an antiquated and stereotypic term is not the way to do it.Read full review »

I’ve been a fan of Laurie’s for a long time now. I appreciate her straight-forward take on work and everything that feeds into it— our egos, our needs, and the world we live in. This podcast isn’t for unquestioning followers, it’s for leaders and those who are ok with challenging the status quo.

She has a recent episode in which she is acting as a rape apologist for a known abuser in the comedy scene. It’s appalling.
