Mr
If you are like me and enjoy your satire mixed with a bit of history , eightys rock tunes , and a healthy fascination with dick jokes, then this could be the podcast for you. Educating us on our own ancient beginnings and the pivotal characters who's names are still relevant some 2500 years later. Unlike all other history podcast on the web this refreshing approach is setting new standards, that is head and shoulders above the rest . Our two host bring their own perspective to the show and their combination of good cop bad cop routine will have you laughing out load. Who says history can't be controversial and edgy. Ray the genteel Virginian from Virginia Harris and Cam, I'm A god not THE god Riely are one of the best pod casting duos in cyber space this decade. Right up there with your great infamous duos like the two Ronnie's, bert and ernie , the Captain and Taneil and the Lone Ranger and tonto These guys are a cracker, bringing their own unique podcasting perspective and style . Southern gentleman Ray best know for his cutting edge World War Two history podcast . Plays side kick to his partner in crime and prince of darkness , Cameron Reily . Cam self proclaimed pod father is a pioneer of the pod cast dating back to 2002. Maybe remembered for playing second fiddle to the self appointed el presidentae of the Napoleonic society Sir David Markum in the 75 hour Napoleon series. That won Cam an honorary membership for his contribution. A must listen. These two guys are taking history and making it fun and funny. Once you sample this for yourself, you too will be hooked and you'll be part of an exclusive club that gets the joke. They have a cutting edge approach to podcasting that leaves the traditional standard of podcasting feeling tired and out of date. This show holds no bars and pulls no punches and Ray and Cam aren't afraid to push the envelope to raise a smile and your eye brows . If history teachers followed their example school kids would be lining up early for class to get a front row seat. The caesar show , the Augustus show and the Alexander show have given me countless hours of laughs while educating me on histories most influential figures. When the standard podcast is around 30 minutes, Ray and Cams episodes have sometimes gone over 2 hours and still have me wanting more. The small subscription fee hardly covers the hours of research and preparation the guys ( well mainly Cam , let's be honest ) put into the show to give us a giggle . And for the cost of a coffee a week it will be the best value investment you could make for the hours of entertainment you get in return. And entertainment is what you get from these guys. So do yourself a favour, rush out and buy yourself a copy today and see for your self what all the fuss is aboutRead full review »

I don't know what the secret to their success is. Obviously- I mean it's a secret, right? Kinda like how the Aussie guy gets away with playing all that copyrighted music that even gangsta rappers have to pay for? Great chemistry maybe. Lots of laughs, and lots of learns. Ray and Cam have kept...Read full review »

I consider myself a bit of a veteran of Ray & Cam's podcasts, including the excellent Caesar/Octavian podcast, Ray's WW2 podcast, and Cam's Napoleon podcast. This is very similar to their Caesar/Octavian podcast, so if you enjoyed that you'll definitely like this one. I really appreciate that...Read full review »

I've only started listening to this in the last few weeks, so I'm really enjoying the ability to binge listen to a couple of hundred hours of the greatest podcasting duo ever. In their usual style, the history is delved into in test depth, with little asides - only a few hours worth so...Read full review »
