“I love this podcast (and the Life of Caesar, as well). If you like your history as dry as the dust of Macedon, this is not for you. Be clear. Granted, this is a great story but that’s not enough. A great story must be told well and Messrs Riley and Harris deliver. They are the dynamic duo of podcasting (I’ll leave you to fight over which is the Boy Wonder.). They are both irreverent and well-informed. Think Charlie Hebdo. Assume your sacred cows will be injured if not butchered.
I look forward to following Alexander and Hephaistion as they journey up the Royal Road (so to speak): it’s sure to be a memorable trip.
