“It was a welcome surprise to see Cameron co-hosting another in-depth historical/biographical podcast after I thoroughly enjoyed the Napoleon podcast (with David Markham) that entertained me for many days (it was somewhere between 80 and 100 hours of awesome content from memory) a few years ago. Cameron and Ray also have a great style together and I love the irreverence, banter and tangents that these two hosts have when discussing the life of Julius Caesar and his times. Thanks Guys!
Cameron and Ray: please keep up with the Rome related pop-culture and literary references. I hope you talk about both historical and historical fiction TV shows and movies and books set or written during the era such as Plutarch, Livy, Ovid, Suetonius, Cassius Dio, Cicero, Sallust, Polybius, Virgil, Lucan, Appian, and Tacitus; Caesar's own Conquest of Gaul and Civil Wars books; the Asterix comics; HBO's ROME; the Spartacus movie and recent Spartacus TV series; A Murder in Rome (about Cicero's early days defending in a court of law); I, Claudius, Centurion and The Life of Brian for shortly after this time during the imperial period... etc... Thanks!”Read full review »

“These two are veteran podcasters. They put in the preparation to make this podcast educational. Their distinctive mark is their wit. You will enjoy their funny banter even as they share a very detailed account of Caesar's life.”Read full review »
