Description
Love, today's episode is a fiery one.  I'm currently going through my yoga teacher training program & a piece of this is reading The Yamas & Niyamas by Deborah Adele.  I'm obsessed.  There's a whole section on why being "nice" does not serve us, our relationships, or others... This is something I've explored deeply in my relationships. Releasing the sugar coating.  Releasing the timid, avoidant communication. All in effort to move toward being more true to myself, more expessive & open in my communication, and more authenticity in my relationships.  And it's freaking uncomfortable.  There's risk that comes with being honest. There's risk that comes along with not striving to be the "nice, accommodating girl." However, there's also SO much risk that comes in being the nice girl and not being honest, expressing yourself, expressing your needs, and being real and open with people.  Our minds tend to ignore this risk.   So in today's episode, I'm sharing with you 3 reasons why being NICE is not the biz and should not be what we're striving for.  I'll share with you what I've been practicing & striving for on my own journey of this as I burned my "nice girl masks."     I hope you enjoy & that this supports you along your journey.
