Less than meets the eye
Three episodes in and I'm not sure I've learned anything eye-opening from this show yet but will keep going. It's hard to be outraged by rich Russian oligarchs buying failing, second-tier British newspaper to peddle influence given what Rupert Murdoch has already done to the UK press, but what's most aggravating is the endless use of intrusive music. It's unnecessary and distracting. There's good, well-synthesized reporting here, but I'd be more invested if the producers didn't feel the need to layer everything with music.Read full review »

Cannot recommend this enough. Every British citizen should be aware of the sinister workings of government and its link to dirty money and how easily and cheaply power can be bought by those who only wish us harm.
