Great Interviewing, Entertaining Stories
Having listened to nearly all the Longform episodes, there's not a single one that's fallen flat or not been completely enjoyable. The hosts have a great rapport with the writers they bring on the show, and they clearly put in a lot of time researching before the interviews, so all the questions are intelligent and insightful. You can tell the writers are enjoying the conversation, too, which is a testament to what a great podcast Evan, Max and Aaron have put together. Even if you're not a writer or even an especially avid longform enthusiast, each episode is filled with entertaining stories and leads to discovery of writing and journalism you might not stumble across otherwise. Plus it's interesting to hear how each writer and reporter started their career and ended up where they are today. If you're looking for a place to start, the Ben Johnson (Vice) episode is one of my favorites.Read full review »

Doing my bit and rating this great podcast. Five stars. Super interesting conversations with writers. And they gave me a copy of FIFA 14. So this is biased.
