Didn’t understand the depth of abuse at all
In the episode ‘don’t dismiss the red flags’ the speaker spoke as if a victim of emotional abuse could just confront their partner about what’s happening, when in reality the abuser is so terrifying and controlling that you cannot. If you speak up there are serious consequences and your safety is at risk. I didn’t feel connected to a man talking either. He seemed to trivialize the manipulation and shockingly he compared it to be mis-sold a warranty in a shop, which is absolutely ridiculous and offensive to women who have been under horrific manipulation. The people who run this podcast should do their homework and have speakers who have actually experienced abuse. Considering that in most cases the victims are women, it makes me feel more safe to hear a women talking about it too. This guy completely missed the point and I actually worry that someone experiencing abuse would listen to this and not realise the severity of what they’re going through. Please be more conscious and aware. This is such a serious issue affecting many women all over the world.

I am a listener from the overwhelmed brain. This podcast dove deep into places I never allowed myself to tap into emotionally. Extremely emotional but so enlightening.
