“As a former Seattleite, first of all, Mars Hill is the best thing that could ever have happened to an area like Seattle. Pastor Mark Driscoll is a talented man who desperately seeks to show the love of Jesus Christ in the midst of challenging times that the people of the Pacific NW is going through. The NW is the most unchurched area in the continental US. Pastor Mark has a superb gift of being real. Lots of other reviewers have a problem with Pastor Mark's way of making fun of other people or religions.. which is simply the man's true heart showing through. I believe that we (especially as chrsitians) have a duty to be honest with ourselves and the people around us. Having the guts to be honest in todays culture (especially todays CHRISTIAN culture) is what draws people in and helps them to understand what the God's honest truth is about what is going on around us. I applaud Mars Hill's efforts and hope they can continue what they're doing in Seattle for a long long time to come. Mars Hill has a lot of fruit, and I think that all of us can find some to pick off and eat in order to grow.”Read full review »
