Accessible insights on EU and European national debates
I've been listening to the ECFR podcasts since they began and they have always been interesting and accessible briefings on what is going on both within the EU centrally and within different EU (and other European) countries. Having researchers and practitioners from across Europe discussing issues (in English which is super for us Brits, but now is the most widely shared language for all Europeans I suppose) is a great way to keep us up-to-date on important debates in all corners of the Europe and within the EU institutions. Technically the podcasts have been improving as well, a bit more tightly edited - at the start "the World in 30 minutes" normally took about 45! :-) - and sound quality is more consistently good now also. This isn't a polished long established radio programme now available via podcast, it's an organic 'pure podcast', but all the better for that. I'm enjoying the alarmingly named "End of the World" mini-series currently, thankfully they haven't gone full apocalyptic so far!Read full review »

More reviews of Mark Leonard's World in 30 Minutes
This is a most helpful podcast reflecting on the real issues of today. This is not journalists talking to each other, this is real subject matter experts trying to shed light on complex yet important issues. I think this is what newspapers were like 50 years ago....bravo!!

The podcasts are well investigated and entertaining. They have the perfect length but they are a bit unstructured sometimes
