Loved this podcast and wish they would do more episodes! It’s great to hear we are all in the same boat one way or another.

Did NOT want this podcast to end. As a first time mother to a beautiful 8-month-old, every single episode of this podcast resonated so deeply. I laughed, I cried, I smiled. Laura facilitates the conversations perfectly; drawing on her own experiences with both pregnancy, pregnancy loss and...Read full review »

This is the best! I was so sad when I was listening to the last episode. It’s so relatable as a Mum and nice to normalise that parenthood ain’t always easy!

I absolutely love this podcast, for its authenticity, relatability and just a weekly reminder that we’re all just doing the best we can with this mum thing... and it’s okay to not be nailing it every second of the day! Thanks for keeping it real!

Really loved listening to this podcast as a new mum. So good to realised every mum is going through challenges & it’s okay to talk about it. Hope there will be another season

I really wanted to like it as I think the topic is so important. But it’s very heavily scripted. It doesn’t come across as natural and most of the time sounds like the host is reading a script word for word from a page someone handed her just before the show.

Wow
Just what I needed to hear. Every episode my head is nodding along. Thanks Mamamia

I love hearing all these women’s different perspectives on different topics. I’m not a mother but am a Nutritionist with a keen interest in pregnancy, breastfeeding, motherhood in general and so on. Laura is amazing and does a fantastic job throughout these podcasts.

Great podcast. Would love some chats about choosing not to breastfeed. It’s never spoken about.

I can’t get enough of this podcast. It’s such a lovely listen for Mums new and old. Full of diverse stories, advice, and experiences - and delivered beautifully by Laura.
aimeedeanne via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 08/13/20
Good concept but doesn’t seem to work as well as all the other great Mamamia podcasts. I think instead of snippets of interviews from different women each episode all on one topic, it might have been better to feature one guest per episode. I also have no idea who most of the guests are they...Read full review »

Great concept for a podcast, but I feel like it's got too much Theresa Palmer in it, she's been in every episode so far, we need more variety!Read full review »

5.5 years after having my first baby. I’m still fighting myself I’m so many ways. This is helping me so much. Thank you.

Firstly, I could listen to Laura talk for days. She is insightful, considered and not afraid to share her real and vulnerable side. The perfect choice of host. The range of topics and experiences detailed in the episodes has been a lovely surprise and as I head back into the newborn bubble after...Read full review »

I’m not a mother, but I am still loving listening to this. Laura is really honest and a great interviewer who lets the people she is talking to tell their stories. I would recommend this to anyone :)

Not a mum, but I find this podcast so interesting and soothing to listen to. I’ve recommended it to my friend with a little one! I love how Laura interviews a few different people in one episode. It celebrates diversity and not just one type of mum. Even though the topics are raw, it made me...Read full review »

I’m a new mum and really appreciate having someone who shares honestly. I think she does a great job juggling mum life, relationships loves and friendship, her own business and other exciting side hustles (podhustles). I think this makes her a great choice for host. I wish her all the luck and...Read full review »

Incredible! Covered so many topics so well, I cannot wait to hear what’s next! I have two children and am unsure whether to have any more.. I really hope you talk to mums about making the decision to have more when you already feel very fulfilled 💜

My gorgeous firstborn girl is 14mths.. I’m 43.. I fought to fall pregnant, stay pregnant, give birth and breastfeed.. I didn’t do Mother’s groups because she was a very unsettled newborn & of course, my friends have had their children years ago.. I now understand everybody’s experience is so...Read full review »

Really enjoying these podcasts. So helpful to hear different experiences - particularly during Covid-19 restrictions when there are fewer opportunities to connect with other mums.

Refreshing to have an honest, open conversation on pregnancy and the postnatal period. So often podcasts on these topics try to just highlight all the ‘good’ stuff and skim over the challenges. Laura delves into it all in a relatable way that I feel more comfortable in my own skin (bubs is 8mths...Read full review »

A podcast that is so relevant, real and relatable. The first year of parenting shook me to the core and these woman took the words out of my mouth. A wonderful and fun way to educate women. It is so needed!!!! Laura is so easy to listen to. The perfect host. Well done. I can’t wait for more.

I started listening cause I have felt somewhat lost since having my daughter who is 8 months now, I listened to this and it made me relax and realise being afraid of being seen as only a mum is a normal feeling and I shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting to do and be more while being the best mum....Read full review »

I really wanted to love this. The promo was great. The title is great, it hit me right in the feels. I screen shot it a sent it to my husband both agreeing this is just what I needed right now. I was really keen to hear this podcast: I’m a fan of Mamamia, and I’ve given much thought to the way ‘becoming a mother’ fundamentally changes a woman, since I became one 12 years ago. Unfortunately, it was shallow; it felt like they were ‘box ticking’ by dividing us into minority groups rather...Read full review »

Kind of just feels like a whole lot of previews of a podcast put in one.. doesn’t get into much depth. I also feel that they’re all interviews with famous people, how is that relatable for everyone? I love Laura and was excited as she seems really genuine on her socials and other podcast but this...Read full review »

I realllly wanted to love it because I think Laura Byrne is amazing (still do regardless!) and so relatable. However it felt a little too scripted, did huggies have a no swearing policy?! There was not enough depth to the conversations with the women, and I feel like no actual insight into...Read full review »

Not a fan of Laura at all, I’m sure she’s a nice girl but not a great host or presenter. Also agree with below comments re horse racing.

I was so excited for this podcast as a new mum with a 8 month old. I love the concept but found the show a little frustrating and brushed over the crux of the emotion, struggle and role change of being a new mum. I loved how tiff hall and cass covered this in in an episode from crappy to happy.

The promo hit me in all the right places. I so desperately wanted some raw and honest conversations, particularly around identity. This episode missed the mark for me. I was looking forward to listening to this podcast but I stopped half way through the first episode. I was left wondering what’s so wrong with just being a mother. I love all Mamamia podcasts, but one thing that drives me nuts is the presentation of the same guest across multiple podcasts. I am in the camp of wanting to absolutely love but unfortunately it missed the mark for me 😣 I have a 10month old and am desperate to find something relatable and this just seemed a bit too polished and tidy for me. I have just returned to work this week and I listened to this podcast on my drive into the office. I have never been a ‘podcast’ person, but this has been so timely. Love most of Mamamia’s podcasts but this has not hit the mark unfortunately. The topics are glossed over and the format of multiple interviews means you don’t get very deep into a person’s experience. I’m not sure about the amount of influencers and reality stars in the mix as well. I think...Read full review »

One listen is enough for me. I can’t relate to Laura Byrne - she’s so caught up in her privilege. I REALLY thought I would like this being a new-ish mum and a fan of Laura’s work. Unfortunately it felt painfully scripted and the conversations just didn’t seem to flow.
