Listen, enjoy, learn (REVISED)
Here is what I wrote a few weeks ago (when giving a 5 star rating): "Keep practicing on the patient presentations! They are enjoyable and worthwhile. If listeners don't like them, let them exercise their freedom of choice -- to tune out. The patient on the latest podcast -- spiderbite -- was great!!" Sadly, these podcasts just now took a turn for the worse when reviewing homeopathy (and other) frauds. Our doctor (not Dr. Jacob) said he might refer a patient to a homeopath (or other "trusted sourcers") if he thought no harm would be done. He utterly ignores the fact that homeopaths are frauds. Where is the harm? The homepath is going to take the patient's money and provide nothing but water in return! Why can't our doctor educate his patient, or refer his patient to a psychologist? He does the same thing with herbalists. He actually recommends his patients to such frauds and describes how various herbs suppossedly help patients. (And justifies this referral by the fact that an extremely small number of toys from China had excess levels of lead in them.) Where is his scientific integrity and honesty? Gone. Utterly gone! In response, I must revise my review and give Medpod101 a one-star rating.Read full review »

As a 3rd year medical student this has been extremely helpful for studying for my shelf exams on all of my rotations! Nice work guys and it is free. The reviews from others complaining are just some haters. These lectures are awesome. Thank you.

The information might be great, but, like other listeners, I could not make it past the fake accent used in the vignettes. I hope the creators will consider a changing this feature in the future.Read full review »
