A fantastic range of speakers doing readings from their books, talking eloquently about their passions and answering questions about their work. A wonderful podcast.

Having been an avid fan of Guillermo for several years, I was very pleased to hear this podcast. However, the 'amazing' comment by the presenter after every answer by Guillermo during the Q&A was really annoying...Read full review »

I have enjoyed all to day. Not all of the writers and their books would be of intrest to me but it's great to hear people talk about what they are good at. Please keep them coming, thanks.Read full review »

This is one of my favourite podcasts, but Apple have managed to mess up the name of it. It's supposed to be Itunes: Meet the Author, but Guillermo del Toro's name is on all the podcasts. Please fix this and join these with the original Meet the Auhtor!Read full review »

The Guillarmo del Toro q&a session was entertaining but could have been a great insight into the author if the host was less star struck & more objective. Congratulations on getting this session, it could have been "amazing" but not quite.Read full review »

A brilliantly witty history of the computer (and the writer himself). Stephen Fry is eloquent and intelligent. He speaks in full sentences -- often full paragraphs -- without sounding at all pedantic. His excitement for language, technology and art are infectious. You have to check this out!

Stephen is a legend in his own right and this is another great tid bit into his mind. The only critique is at the recording, it'd of been nice to hear the questions from the audience more clearly as they were mostly inaudible.Read full review »

As much as I love Stephen Fry's work and the man himself listing him as a thinker says a lot about the person writing the blurb, i.e. they are not a thinker. I think the technical term for that is "moron"? We are all thinkers surely? Maybe Stephen tends to inspire more thought and be...Read full review »

dear chumps, chumpettes, pips and pipettes i would like to announce the arrival of a truly brilliant podcast about an author. This young man has struggled many a time in life and, although deaf in one ear, wrote a book that was amazin..

I tend to think Nick Hornby is really over-rated as an author, and have given up on his books on several occasions. However - I really like his taste in music, so it was for this reason I decided to give the podcast a listen. And I'm really pleased I did. Hornby interviews really well - he...Read full review »
