Definitive Podcast on Star Trek music
I have enjoyed all of the hosts on Melodic Treks. Brandon Shea Mutala is very good at finding and interviewing interesting guests that intersect with the music of Star Trek. He does a good job of keeping the interview interesting, engaging, respectful, and on track, while allowing space for wandering when appropriate. I did not give the podcast five stars for two reasons: one is that some of the topics and podcasts did not intersect really well with my understanding and experience. The other is that for all of Brandon's virtues, as he freely admits, he is a fan while not necessarily a musically educated one. While periodic guests with a musical background are excellent, a frequent co-host with a musical background could elevate the enterprise to another level. Despite those two relatively small points, well done, Brandon. Please keep up the good work.

I know there are some who...Read full review »

I hope his returns to Star Trek podcasting soon. The new guy is "flat." and the small details that Colin used to add are simply not...Read full review »
