Episode 598: Edward Shahrokh is Abusive
Edward Shahrokh formerly worked at Multi Concept Recovery. He "left" amid allegations -- the allegations were he retaliated against me, a patient, for filing a grievance after he materially mis-stated ADA law, abused his authority, then openly revoked my admission for making this grievance, and then imposed discriminatory & retaliatory conditions on me not to use a medication that I needed for medical reasons. The matter has been referred to the California Mental Health Board and they are investigating him now. I am also contacting state and federal authorities on suspicion of falsification of medical records -- he claimed I was physical, yet not a single email or text from either him or the CEO makes any such claim. Simply put, in my capacity as a compliance & ethics professional, it is my opinion you stay as far away from Edward Shahrokh as possible. It is my opinion he is not safe to be around. Know your rights. Under the law, no mental health professional may retaliate on the basis of a grievance or a protected class status. If you are a fellow victim, contact the California Department of Mental Health to report concerns like retaliation or discrimination. You can also contact both the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) and Department of Justice (DOJ) on protected class discrimination.Read full review »

Seriously. This podcast is absolutely incredible. I'm constantly listening and then thinking, hey... I have that problem too... other people are like that? That's kinda comforting... and hell, its funny too. Keep up the amazing work. Making me feel slightly less terrible, week after week!
