“I see some comments about not liking a woman commentator for true crime. But let’s remember the reason that Hansen remained out there longer than he should have was because it was men that were “in charge”. If they had listened to Maxine Farrell at the beginning, Cindy and a lot of other women may have been spared from this monster.
Another comment about stories of Hansen’s past not being covered thoroughly, obviously comes from a person who has not read the book, “Butcher Baker” by Walter Gilmour and Leland Hale. They would see what lengths Hale took to bring us the background story. The show may not have focused on Hansen’s early years as much as the book does, but they gave us enough to understand what a sick person he was. I think the producers and commentators can be proud for what they have brought to us. The addition of Cindy’s story for an unexpected seventh show was the icing on the cake in my opinion.”
