“This used to be a great podcast. Driven, ambitious to uncover information, and bring that information to the listeners in an exciting and thrilling way. It was great!
Unfortunately, it's strayed a long way off course... It seems like the writers prefer talking about themselves more so than Maura.... It appears they just really like the sound of their own voices, or perhaps they are running out of new material to talk about?
The latter would at least explain how I'm twenty minutes into the most recent episode and all I've heard is ranting about vaguely related personal drama. By all means talk about it.. But not for the entire first third of an episode.
This show can get good again, and I really hope it does, but guys... There are literally thousands of reasonable and civil listeners who found out about this podcast on reddit, and collectively referring to them as a "cesspool" is incredibly disrespectful to those who make up a large part of your listenership.
Here's hoping you guys rediscover the spark that made this podcast so good, and reign in the self-importance.”Read full review »

Episodes 1-8 (all I could muster) could have been a solid one...”Read full review »

“Good at points but overall incredibly amteurish. These guys seem to not know very much about audio or how to pace and edit an audio piece. I doubt their "documentary" will be any better.”Read full review »

“The podcast had my interest in the first two episodes but it has dramatically faded with each listen.
I agree with many of the other reviewers - lacking professionalism, lots of rambling, badly organized. Clearly there is very little editing after they record an episode.
More time in...”Read full review »
