Poorly Done "Serial" Wannabe
I've always been interested in the Maura Murray disappearance, so I was quite excited for a podcast specifically devoted to this case. Unfortunately, the hosts are simply amateur armchair detectives who do nothing but speculate for 45 minutes each episode. One of the most cringe-worthy things I have ever heard was the two hosts discussing and arguing for 10 minutes about whether a cigarette-smoker would light up after a car accident, after already saying that neither of them smoked, it was laughable. They have no experience or understanding of forensic/legal proceedings, investigative journalism, or psychology. Much of the information about the case discussed on the podcast is either misleading or blatantly untrue. An entire episode was literally devoted to clarifying and correcting things that had been previously said on the first two episodes. I find it humorous and ironic that the hosts try so hard to communicate that they want to be objective and unbiased at the beginning of each episode, then lead into an hour of wild speculation (eg. a full episode of the hosts "analyzing" letters Fred Murray has written, even though they have absolutely no training in Psychology). I truly wanted to like this podcast, and hoped that things would become more objective in the later episodes. Sadly, this is not the case, as things continue to be based around subjective opinion and speculation.Read full review »

I've been listening to this podcast and I don't think it has enough structure. They assume everyone knows details about the case beforehand, and I did not and have not researched this case extensively like other listeners apparently have. I was hoping the hosts would explain the details...Read full review »

I had a broad overview of the case but this is really getting me into it piece by piece. I look forward to the new episodes you guys put out each week!...Read full review »
