The discussions on this show have been really helpful both in relating to different life experiences and for applying learnings within life in general. Tyi and Akilah lead insightful conversations on topics relevant to current events.

Although I enjoy this podcast I feel that the hosts don’t allow the guests to complete their thoughts or answers when questioned. They constantly interrupt and talk about themselves. I would give a higher rating but the interruption by the hosts while the guest is speaking is annoying.

I want to share my appreciation for the space created on this podcast as someone who falls into the “those who love Black women” group. The episode on self care literally made me slow down and actually ask myself what I need. And there is an innovative energy that comes from this show’s centering...Read full review »

Akilah and Tyi are joined each week by amazing women and together they share their stories as we would a meal with friends. They let us peek into their lives while they share their dream for black women. I feel fortunate they’ve allowed us into their space.

I love this! It is so important to be able to support other women of color who are lending a positive voice in the midst of so much noise in the world. Great conversations.

A friend suggested I listen to this podcast when I was completely bereft about Roe being overturned. Wow. I’m white and listening to the hosts and their guests who are all black was particularly engaging. I appreciated the different perspectives, the energy, the difference in backgrounds. As I accumulate more and more responsibilities, I find myself caught up in busy life and not making room or space for important conversations or even being aware of how I’m showing up. Thanks for the reminder to make space! Can’t wait to hear more.

It’s only been two episodes and I’m already hooked. I looove the unapologetic manner in which the hosts approach their discussions. I’m here for it all and can’t wait for this journey of listening and learning.
