Might work on paper, not as a podcast
A podcast is, above all, an audio experience. People I admire, including Walt Mossberg, have recommended this podcast but I cannot. The content may of great interest but the audio experience has too many drawbacks for me to persist. The podcaster's delivery is painfully slow, there are seemingly pointless pauses in the flow, there are sound effects which add sound but no effect,etc. etc. Further, the thesis of the series, that there were multiple influences on the US choice to "go to the Moon" beyond Cold War rivalry, is trite.Read full review »

I love Ms. Cunningham”s style and her dive into history. Ibrecall the days of nonstop coverage of NASA and launches. Sci-fi writers would be interviewed and as a kid it is where I first heard of Asiimov and orhers. One of my earliest influences was Tom Swift and his race to the moon.
