Committed to sustainability - With Benjamin Smith #133

Description
Benjamin Smith loves disc golf and is very passionate about the sport. He has been playing since 2003 and has designed and built over 44 disc golf courses, which is very impressive. Ben has developed a disc golf lesson plan that he taught over 20,000 people. Ben is working on disc golf to be recognized as a National Sporting Organization, more recognition for the sport he loves. Disc golf is popping up everywhere and still only 20% of Maritimers have even heard of it and that is what Ben is trying to change and getting as many people out there playing the sport as possible. We talk about Hurricane Fiona and how it devastated PEI and many courses around the Maritimes including his very own. The courses are slowly coming back and new ones are being proposed all the time. The sport is growing fast and there is no telling how far it can go. More sustainable than a golf course and using the land and its features to its advantage, the wave of the future is here and I can't wait to try it out.
