“Craig Barton's websites and podcast have been incredibly influential for me as an NQT. I am in my second year of teaching and, not finding the guidance I need at school, the interviews on this podcast have served as my digital mentors.
I love the way in which the podcast makes research and experience so accessible: I listen to podcasts while I wash the dishes, walk my dog, walk to school etc.
As a newbie I am of course far from implementing the incredible methods and theories I hear about on the podcast, but listening to my Maths heros allows me to keep up my energy and motivation to learn more, plan better, and work more efficiently (even when all my body wants to do is sleep).
I've bought Mr Barton's book and a couple others mentioned here and am SO EXCITED to begin reading.
