Season 1 was phenomenal. I really enjoyed everything about it. As an avid true crime podcast listener it is hard to find anything in the genre that is unique anymore that is still respectful and easy to listen to. I loved the unique twist of this format and binged through the first season. Season...Read full review »

Well done. A story of love, courage, heroism, friendship, nature, and of course, violence and tragedy. All told in 35 minutes. Bonus for moi: I had NOT heard of this one before! So many copycats in the TC genre. Thank you for your voice (luscious) and music - 👍 Keep ‘em coming and a little...Read full review »

OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW !!!!
bricks711 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/25/24
This show has good bones but needs some fine tuning. Some of the stories featured seem to stray away from the main topic in a genre that isn’t lacking for subject matter. Example, the latest goat episode. While quirky or strange, doesn’t really make sense with show. The first season was great and...Read full review »

Love the show. Joined Binge to hear more but there hasn’t been a new episode since January?? Is it over? I don’t want to pay if I’m not getting new content. Rampley Trail episode was AWFUL!!! The lady and her laugh. She thought she was hilarious.

Seems like an old format. Waiting for it to get good then end up disappointed. Really gave it ago 👍🏻 Waste of time sorry .

Great perspective, appreciate the intriguing listen
yeppers561 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/17/24
The show is really great. I love the content and the narration, but the episodes are pretty short and at least 50% ads. I want to keep listening, but it’s really annoying to have to keep pausing what I’m doing to skip ads every 5 mins.
Banh91 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/12/24
This is an interesting podcast although it is very short. There are way to many ads, especially considering the condensed content.
DixieDoodle! via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/20/24
Way too many ads.

That RE agent is terrible and truly painful to listen to. She blows own horn about sales prowess and strategy far too much Excellent show though Easy binge Unique idea

Awesome show, could listen to all of them in one day, trying to pace myself so I have episodes to listen to at work!!
Texaspisces via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/21/24
Great premise for a show but the amount of ads makes it too annoying to watch. Shame!
Cat lady68 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/05/24
Please drink some water, the croaky voice is grating. As others mentioned, it’s all ads, hearsay and quite frankly little to no story about the actual podcast title “murder homes”.
yournightmxre__ via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/03/24
Good podcast but ads beginning, middle and end meant I gave up on it.Such a shame. I understand the need for ads but three lots in a 30 minute podcast are too many for me.

Way, way, way too many ads. Won’t listen again.
silowatcher via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 01/11/24
This show really has me torn, because I appreciate so much how he doesn’t add any fluff, or cartoon like crap like a lot of other true crime shows But I also want them to be longer, and I mean that has a great compliment.
Schhhiejsn via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/09/24
This podcast has an interesting subject, but the amount of baked-in ad breaks makes it pretty much unlistenable. This is a half-hour podcast that has a 5 minute ad break every 10 minutes.
SilverSonor via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 01/09/24
I’d love to hear more podcasts hosted by Matt. Murder Homes is fantastic and very well done. It’s listened to best by subscribing unless you’re one of those people who love the interrupted 2 minute commercials every 5 minutes.
Tamjyo via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/08/24
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your podcast!! You are straight, to the point, and don’t waste the first 20 minutes with nonsense small talk about yourself. You’re a great storyteller with interesting content. Love it!!!
Bentley. 77 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/07/24
It just doesn't grab me, partly because the content is less gripping than the podcast title would suggest, and partly because the host's laconic and monotone delivery makes him sound bored. His vocal fry was off the charts, too. Plus so many ads.Read full review »

As others said, there is more ad time than content. I understand they need to have some ads but 2/3 is ads in a 30 minute episode is ridiculous. Plus, they are ads that scream at you. Love the concept, hate the presentation.
juleswcu via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/28/23
I am not a big true crime fan but I love this show! Well-written, fascinating stories about the dark side of humankind. Love it!

I listened to parts of two episodes hoping for a story. Both started well until the story was broken with an interview/dialogue between someone related to the story. I switched off. Not interested in interviews with people who vaguely knew the objects of the story. I was hoping to be told a...Read full review »

The stories are interesting if only there weren’t so many commercials! I’m a subscriber and I don’t understand why there are stills ads! I feel like I’m wasting money and I’ve had to stop listening.
Carioca57 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/21/23
Unfortunately lots of ads
Barbie112112 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/20/23
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts, therefore I subscribe, so no ads, however all podcasts have loads of ads unless you pay, you can skip them. Really interesting podcast and there not long, so your able to keep up
Vicb 789 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/18/23
Way too many commercial interruptions! The most I’ve ever experienced during a podcast or even a tv show. Interesting content, professionally written, good narration. They dive into some more obscure murder cases which is refreshing.
Peyton Cusick via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/17/23
This idea and show are close to good. The episodes need to be longer and more fleshed out or remove half the ads. The ads are equivalent to those of an hour long show. Wondery should know better.
Tankgirl10 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/12/23
It’s hard to get into the story when there are 3-4 ad breaks in a 20-25 minute show.
vstimac via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/10/23
Love this podcast! It’s unique! But I’m an iheart true crime+ subscriber and the extra perks and episodes are not there!

So interesting and well thought out. I love the perspective of the home.
Caity Featherston via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/08/23
The latest episode just confirmed that this show is nonsense. It is using the “expert knowledge” of a ghost hunter to talk about the Black Dalia.
ManiofEarth via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/29/23
Interesting idea and subject. I totally understand the need for ads but it’s my first time listening today, and there is more ads than there is content in this episode! So unfortunately I won’t be sticking around.

You have zero knowlefge about the Philippine Politics. Before Duterte, the Philippines was under the contr of a few ultra elite oligarchs. The reason the Philippines is a third world. Then Duterte a game Changer, exposed and jailed the drug cartels and narcogenerals .

As someone who spent hours making sure my own house hadn’t faced any stigmatizing events, including going back to land maps from the 1800’s, I was super excited to see this podcast. I generally avoid podcasts that tell a story in just one episode because I often find them flippant and lacking...Read full review »

Really intriguing podcast, but in future, I’d you have stories involving families with children whom were adopted, you don’t need to refer to them every single time they’re mentioned as, ‘their adopted children’. Just say, ‘their children’. Referring to the Hamptons episode.

I’m thinking people comparing this with Dark House never really listened to this podcast. Dark House focuses a lot on hauntings, which is great, as well as architecture. This is very different. Definitely room for this podcast. I like the narrators voice. Doesn’t glorify murder, but empathizes...Read full review »

Dark House is pretty different. Not sure why y’all felt the need to give this show a one star rating and troll it in this way. Plenty of room for another podcast.
