Each Season Has It’s Flaws but is Still Quite Interesting
Murder in Illinois - I almost didn’t listen to this season because of the negative reviews. I almost quit listening a couple different times for the very same reasons others have expressed here. Due to the fact that Kimberly Vaughn’s family refused repeated attempts to be interviewed, only the Vaughns’ side is presented. So this endeavor seems very slanted right out of the gate, which is unfortunate, because many quit listening before hearing everything in its entirety. However, I decided to listen to the whole series in an attempt to keep an open mind, and I’m glad I did. I can’t say I like the manner in which this series was constructed and delivered, but it’s well worth the listen, takes a surprising direction and has given me pause for consideration in my opinions of this incredibly tragic case. Murder in Oregon - This case is littered with corrupt, despicable characters connected with the Oregon prison system and political landscape of the 1980’s. There’s little evidence of moral fiber or conscience on the scene. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the newly arrived, lone “good guy” in the Oregon penal system, Director Michael Franke, ends up murdered when he starts to clean house. This season is incredibly well done except Episodes 11 and 12 are a redundant rehash of what I’ve already heard. So I stopped after E10 and leaped to the final Update. Murder in Miami - To be determined

I wasn’t impressed by the first two episodes. It was clear that the podcast was laying the foundation for Kimberly to be the killer and Chris was a mere innocent victim. I decided to stick the podcast waiting for them to discuss evidence as the first two episodes had absolutely no evidence. I...Read full review »

Ew
Chris’ family is so judgemental and awful. Who complains about being invited for dinner and not eating right away? They talk about him like he’s God’s gift to the earth. What a bunch of narcissists. I already think he probably did it, from the way his family enables his terrible behavior.
