It kept me intrigued, but also soooo frustrated. There was so much left out. You can’t tell me that no one questioned that he listened to all the evidence and THEN created a story to account for it years later? And she started this based on his eyes in the mugshot? Am I seeing the same photo?...Read full review »

Wow, first off I stumbled on the show on Spotify, which from what I can tell has no way to review… or see reviews or rating, super annoying. Anyway Episode one definitely caught my eye and I jumped on apple without seeing the ratings/reading the reviews. They’re all true. Episode 2 is god awful....Read full review »

Despite court records, evidence to the contrary, and extensive testimony this podcast attempts to sully the victims in death. Disgusting use of a platform. You could truly take the script from “True Story; 2015”…or several other similar movies to tell where this sociopath dreamed up his new...Read full review »

Does this family really believe what they are saying or are they just so desperate that they’ll believe anything? I have never listened to a podcast that made me say “oh BULLSH*T” over and over again. He killed his family. Y’all know it. I know it. But, bless their hearts, that family is all the...Read full review »

I feel like this podcast is a joke or made solely for the purpose of being sensational.

The rude comments are so clearly mob style thinking. People believe things from their perspective. Allowing the host and the producers to offer many perspectives is what is appropriate. Victims are everywhere. The more important perspective is ‘are you a tunnel vision thinker’? Open your minds...Read full review »

It's absolutely disgusting what this host tries to do to a murdered mother and children. The mental gymnastics, bias, slander, armchair medical diagnoses, "expert" testimony (that twenty year veteran stripper)I wish zero stars were a thing. Shame on you. Sensationalized...Read full review »

Yes. This is told from 1-side and 1-side only. Because the other side refuses to participate!! The podcasters do their best to present the most fair information they can, given there’s only the Vaughn’s allowing interviews. Listen to how it’s presented. It’s about as fair as it could be.

I have sympathy for the families of victims and perpetrators but this podcast is honestly just bizarre. I was listening as it came up as an automatic suggestion and everything piled up and up to the point where a psychiatrist said SSRIs are used to treat bipolar and isn’t that interesting and...Read full review »

I know Kimberly’s family wouldn’t participate so it was only Chris’ parents view but they are so petty and going on and on about the in-laws ; it’s cringey! The Vaughan family seems to be so ‘perfect’ because they like outdoor activities whilst Kim’s family are evil as they like reading. No...Read full review »

A mom and her babies are murdered. And the first two episodes of this podcast spend most of their time bashing the victim. Because she was educated. Because her mom didn’t cook well. Because she was protective of her babies. I live in Illinois and remember when this happened and was interested in...Read full review »

One of the first statements in the podcast is, “Could Chris be innocent?” If you’ve already made up your mind that’s fine, but it’s not fair to rate this podcast on your mindset knowing the premise from the beginning. Most of the reviews state they rated it low because this podcast gives both...Read full review »

Read the reviews. It’s interesting how many of us stopped listening at about the same time in the series. The amount of denial and victim bashing was horrible. This podcast is one sided. It’s a shame something like this was even put out. It’s not serious journalism when you keep interviewing the...Read full review »

I hate this podcast because they are painting a picture of a mentally unstable woman based upon medications and possible uses for such. Mental health diagnoses made post death to turn this situation into the mother being guilty is disgusting and just wrong. Chris clearly did it. His first...Read full review »

Don’t listen to the opinions of apologists or the “believe all women” commenters! Sad story but it’s also quite possible the mother could be just as guilty

This is Christopher Vaughn’s desperation to seek an appeal…Christopher and his family’s denial of a heartless and gruesome family slaughter. All for what? A pipe dream. This is a podcast about an easily solved familial murder that tries very pathetically to insinuate some sort of injustice or unfair trial. 5 episodes in & no facts… just endless victim bashing. This is basically a audio diary of a family likely in denial. Murder in Illinois is the most shameful podcast series I’ve listened to- a ‘reporter’ acting as though they’re doing a good job when all they do is give the family of a convicted murderer a chance to share criticisms of the victim? I had to stop after episode 2. This is simply a forum for Chris’s family to trash-talk his deceased wife and her family while praising their “superstar” son.
