A hard but important listen
After reading an incredibly intelligent and moving piece on motherhood by Virginia Tapscott, I was keen to see what other contributions to journalism and media she had made. My Sister’s Secrets is a confronting topic and I was nervous to listen but she has done an amazing job of putting together a very thoughtful and poignant reflection on the tragedy that befell her family. It is a must-listen for anyone wanting further encouragement on the importance of educating not only themselves, but their kids, on sexual abuse - and TALKING about it - in an effort to try and prevent it. The task at hand is enormous but the more we normalise these starting conversations instead of sweeping the abuse under the rug, the better off we will ALL be. This is certainly the parting message her podcast left me with. I admire her and her mother’s immense courage in putting themselves out there like they have. Commendable and thank you to The Australian for supporting this kind of journalism.

Such a great podcast, and a really important story and topic to spotlight. But I stopped listening 10 minutes into episode 4. The repetition was too much. It didn’t make for good listening unfortunately.

Sorry, but the same audio is played over and over, making it repetitive and a bit boring. Stopped listening midway through episode 2.
