To use this lesson to remind yourself the importance of having a Guru as your spiritual teacher
To have an opportunity to reflect on what it means to receive blessings and the Guru’s grace
Definitions to know:
Waheguru – feeling amazed (Wahe); in awe of God – who is the ultimat
Guru (Gu- darkness; Ru – light; God enlightens us through word/wisdom)
Gurpasad– “Gur” (Guru – defined above); “Prasad” – blessing; Grace
Gurprasad – God is realized/met through the Grace/Blessings of the Guru
Shabad – authentic hymn found in Guru Granth Sahib (Holy Scripture of the Sikhs); Shabad – can be translated as the “mantra”, the word, the hymn that aids in eradicating one’s ego; it is the word/wisdom written by Sikh Guru’s and Saint’s from other faiths
Ek Onkar – refer to lesson #1 – Ek – one; Onkar – God
