I would like to listen to this podcast, but Itunes does not link to it in their system. I'd give more stars if it was accessible in ItunesRead full review »

I learn so much every week about so many different things with the Nature Pod. The writing of the podcast is engaging and well-curated. As someone in the Humanities always interested in science but never formally studying it, Nature is a weekly treat which I never miss. Also shoutout to Nick -...Read full review »

Good range of topics, sometimes wonderfully nerdy

“It is clear that sex and gender exist beyond a simple binary. This is widely accepted by scientists and it is not something we will be debating in this podcast. But this whole area is full of complexity, and there are many discussions which need to be had around funding, inclusivity or research...Read full review »

Podcast sounds little like AI generated text sometimes. Content is good, though.

Generally very good except for the last segment which is full of inane/nervous laughter at nothing in particular. You don't need to try and add a standup routine to science.Read full review »

Content is OK and commercial podcasts need ads/money but over time this podcast has gone OTT on ads to the point where it’s a real nuisance, to the point where I’m about to give-up on it.

Only just tried this podcast and a couple of episodes were interesting but interspersed with others tackling subjects in a superficial and very inadequate way. The episode on Long Covid in third world countries was the last straw and I have unsubscribed. A pity, it could be good with the minimum...Read full review »

I love this podcast. The hosts are great, I don’t think they’re trite! Always diverse topics, always relevant to science and on-topic (I like it better than Science’s podcast for that reason). Great segment length, research highlights is good too. I love the intro so much lol - it sounds like...Read full review »

This is a regular listen for me. Just recently, Nature has had some weird podcast recommendations. I don't know who is behind this, but it seems mindless. Who would think a natural recommendation for a science podcast is that listeners might want to listen to a podcast about Drag Queens? That...Read full review »

I love reading Nature but the publisher has given me lots of issues, not paying $200 for zero customer service - so at this point I just listen

Nature podcast is the only podcast I regularly listen to! Really high quality production, and the hosts have the great ability to make any topic informative, fun and engaging.

One of the better science podcasts but I find the hosts can be a little trite, and Howe downright annoying

All other podcasts I subscribed to during the pandemic have gone like the wind…this one still endures because I trust the integrity of its knowledge and the information it provides on a consistent basis.

If you consider yourself a scientist who stays informed, this is an essential and you know and listen already. So, for those that want to improve their level of staying informed with what’s new in science, start listening!

Given the reputation of Nature, I have found this to be quite a disappointment. It seems to be mostly journos interviewing other journos, rather than the researchers themselves. Also the questions are often rather obvious and not particularly interesting or in-depth.

Wish it didn’t have those annoying pseudo music sounds drifting about behind the dialogue. No confidence in the dialogue alone? Ruins it for me…could be good without that.

Very closed-minded.

Awful attempt to make the material more “relatable”. Pathetic. This podcast used to be better. The intro is way too long and the presenters lack professionalism and, frankly, the talent to pull off this feeble attempt to jazz up the science. It’s insulting to a well-respected journal to...Read full review »

As a person from Africa I have found this become increasingly American focused, ignoring the bigger world.

They do a great job presenting cutting edge research in a fascinating and precise, yet easy to understand way. I’d definitely suggest giving Nature a try

The reporters give biased personal opinions on science that make it hard to tell fact from opinion
Ain Stolkiner via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/06/21
Still a good source of science news. But the presentation is irritating and distracting. Does every story have to include cute wordplay? You audience is looking for news, not entertainment. And please, retire the annoying opening jingle; after a dozen listenings it becomes really irritating.

Love the shorter episodes (in comparison to other ones i listen to) because the info is presented in a clear way, yet it is still thorough. From the bastion of scientific research publishing, this podcast is an uninspired sampling of random scientific news, that presents little to no context or depth aside from plugs to visit the publishers website. Also, if you have trouble with pedantic Cockney accents, then forget it.

Highly affected word play and soundtracks distract from over-edited stories to the point I can no longer stand this once great podcast.

Is Heidi able to report a story without talking about Trump and getting political? Her reporting seems to consist of talking about what she reads on twitter and other news reports. Where is the original sourcing I value from nature?

Best podcast amongst all the ones that I’ve subscribed to. It makes my running sessions much more interesting as I do learn and discover several things each time I go out running.

It is truly a breath of fresh air. No BS, just clear, well crafted information on very interesting topics. Sometimes a little over my head, but it is a great stretch. Thanks

Nature is my favorite! This podcast is much needed for science lovers and the sci-curious, who might not seek out the research journals themselves, alike :)

I really enjoy the long read because it is nice to hear about research without having to always read a research paper since they are not the most approachable thing to read all the time.

Finally gave up and unsubscribed. The coverage and presentation has become more and more superficial. The current presenter is incredibly annoying. Radio 4 inside science is much more authoritative. Even Science magazine’s podcast is preferable.
