“I don't like journal clubs. So the idea of listening to one voluntarily does not come naturally. A member of my nephrology group recommended Freely Filtered so I have given it a try. I don't like the jolly repartee. I am looking for information about specific clinical problems that arise in Nephrology and how the experts handle them. I really like UpToDate. I don't need extraneous/off topic comments. A case presentation might be nice followed by a concise discussion. I have never been good at understanding statistical methods so pointing out the strengths and weakness of statistical methods in plain language would be welcome. I don't like people jumping in all the time. One person should discuss the topic without interruption by others. Then the other panel members can take a turn with the topic. Maybe there should be a moderator that organizes the other participants and then summarizes everyone's comments and maybe adds their own.
I thank the participants for taking time to produce this podcast. Y'all are smart and nice people. I guess I just don't like the format. I might listen more if the the podcasts were more organized.”Read full review »
