Great topic. But 24-hr turnaround with MACHEON labs and University of Cincinnati. DOn’t wait two weeks. But even if negative 30-40% still can have genetic contribution. What to do with long term treatment seems to depend if mutations are seen in fH,fB,MCP,fI.

I don't like journal clubs. So the idea of listening to one voluntarily does not come naturally. A member of my nephrology group recommended Freely Filtered so I have given it a try. I don't like the jolly repartee. I am looking for information about specific clinical problems that...Read full review »

Clinical renal pharmacist in Canada - great vibe and high yield info that is useful in practice. Still working on phasing renal out of my vocabulary. Can pharmacists participate in the NephJC?

Love the podcast. Great group of experts. I will not stop saying RENAL though! Lol Would love if can have a series on general nephrology review topics in addition to Journal club similar to IM Curbsiders.

Simply THE BEST! As a full time community nephrologist and mom to two active boys, I’ve always felt the lack of a place to go to get up to date information on all things kidney! I listen to freely filtered every morning now while I walk. This has been life changing for me. Thank you, smart nephrons!

Hi, my name is Matthew “The Renin (pronounced like the bird, wren-in) Man” Sparks, and all I have to say is that the renals rule. That’s right. I said renals. Freely Filtered is truely one of the best medical podcasts currently out there. I often re-use talking points on Freely Filtered to impress medicine attendings on rounds. Some of the information even helped me on a shelf exam. My only criticism is that these podcasts don't come out often enough!Read full review »

I’m gonna be honest. If you asked me about the original Twitter #NephJC, I’d say that I liked the idea better than the actual thing.
