I was made to feel like such a loser in high school for being this into punk rock history and this podcast makes me feel so vindicated. So thorough, I’ve learned so much about my favorite bands and their influences. Love it

Just started listening to No Dogs after being a long time LPOTL listener. Love it!

Ive been waiting and waiting for this podcast since I first heard Marcus mention it on LPOTL! Nothing better than listening to two smart people full of knowledge(and who can remember what they know) talk about something so near and and dear to my heart-punk music! Thank you both!

I’m so glad these guys are back! I was afraid there would only be one season.

I listened to so many episodes as I packed boxes and now am listening to all the rest as I unpack. Thoroughly entertaining, I found this podcast charming- Marcus and Carolina commit to each episode. It is super sincere and admirably well researched. I don’t even like some of the music and...Read full review »

Loved 95% of this podcast, it really got that no credit was giving to To the 5 boroughs though and no mention at all to hot sauce committee, otherwise a brilliant podcast

As a fan of LPOTL, I have great affection for Marcus and his dorky laugh. Carolina is funny and smart. I thoroughly enjoy every episode. It’s as deep as Cocaine & Rhinestones but about a genre I truly love. Keep it up and keep cussing and laughing!

I am pretty knowledgeable about punk rock from the late 70s/early 80s, but Carolina and Marcus did some serious research and brought the history to life with funny, imaginative storytelling. Loved the Beastie Boy series—I never paid much attention to Beastie Boys before, but now I am OBSESSED!!...Read full review »

Carolina & Marcus are the best. This show is more fun than watching a bunch of Monkeys try to start DEVO cover band.

Great show and incredibly enlightening. I’m wondering, however, if there will be a show surrounding Tim Armstrong? So much going on there! Thanks, guys—keep up the great work!!

Love every second. I grew up with Public Enemy, Michael Jackson, NWA and hair metal. No clue of punk except for the stuff that went mainstream. And now I find myself creating punk playlists, researching what I love and don’t, and digging into even some new punk. Now totally into the Beastie Boys...Read full review »

stayed for the Ramones, am now working my way through the rest of the episodes, one band at a time. Like one of the other reviewers, I’m also a “music nerd”, love the information almost as much as the music, and get completely sucked in each time. To the hosts....great job and keep it going.

You won’t find a better researched music pod out there.

Marcus and Carolina are absolutely likable. Their research is extremely in depth and professional but Marcus' inability to go ten seconds without throwing "f**ckin'" into a sentence and nervously laughing at his own jokes (and, literally, everything Carolina says) is a bit...Read full review »

I have yet to listen to this podcast but I noticed how unorganized the episode are listed. Also I see that episode 3 of The Stooges series is missing. I know I can go elsewhere to listen to it but I would prefer to keep everything on one app.

Marcus swears so much. It isn’t necessary. I understand using the occasional swear word for effect. But he uses the “f” word as a hesitant like most people use the word “um.” By hesitant, I mean a word that has no purpose other than letting your mind catch up to what you are trying to say.
RobtVolz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/26/21
I’d like it if the dude on this show could laugh less and pontificate less, you two really don’t know anything about this music because you weren’t there 😉, I mean only what you e heard. Not that you haven’t done some research but really, you missed the vibe. Carvel is an entire east coast...Read full review »

I’ve listened to every episode and I can’t wait for the next one. They’re smart and fun. Mix that with a ton of research, great chemistry and taste and a whole lotta killer music. This podcast rules.

As others have noted the hosts are amazing researchers and both share a number of great stories. And I love how they share samples of the music they’re teaching us about. BUT! I can certainly do without the constant breathe/chuckling making a constant joke about everything. It kills the story....Read full review »

This show is just very good, it’s packed with information and humor. The first season covered punk and all of the outrageous and colorful characters and what made them do what they did. If you love music this is definitely a show for you.

Really love that they do in-depth studies of punk rock staples but the long running time could be avoided if they just dropped their awful attempts at humour. 3 minutes into the Misfits episode and I wanted to kick my speaker into the tub and join Elvis, Eddie and Gene in the sky.
