Perfect confluence of research and color!
Music nerds will be happy with the THOROUGH research & vibrant color these two bring to the conversation. Not being too familiar w/Carolina’s style, I am so excited w/the fact that she is an EQUAL co-host. Her asides are both hilarious & insightful. Marcus, as always, brings the high-level research to this podcast we’ve come to expect & appreciate. Looking forward to hearing them continue to weave their tapestry on punk. I’m really excited to hear them talk about the contributions of so many women musicians in the punk scene. I’m sure we’ll hear about Patti Smith, but wondering if we’re also gonna hear about other VERY influential women in punk: Christie Hynde, Joan Jett, Siouxsie, Slits, Poly Styrene, Raincoats, Kim Gordon, Excene Cervenka, Debby Harry, Alice Bag, Kathleen Hanna, Sleater-Kinney, Kim Deal, Beth Ditto... With that said, Carolina & Marcus are doing the damned thing really, REALLY well. I have every confidence that they will continue to be vigilantly thorough. Leave no stone unturned, y’all.
