Employed mother of an infant
I feel so seen and heard. Thank you for this. Seriously THANK YOU. We need to continue to talk about it. Call me naive but I had no idea that finding childcare so that I could go back to work full-time would be so difficult. I’ve seen other moms do it so I didn’t think it could be that hard. It’s not only hard, it’s very expensive. We question all the time if it’s even worth it. Should I just give up my career? How would we pay the bills we have now? Why doesn’t my husband have to choose career or caregiver? It’s not fair.
