“I had my first baby right when the pandemic hit. Had major PPA & PPD but had no idea and generally my mental health was in the gutter and I felt like a failure of a mom. I had NO idea what was “normal” for babies and expected it to all look like it does in movies. Then by some miracle I found Rachael on Instagram and she managed to virtually take my hand and walk me through my first year of motherhood like a big sister I never had. The title of this podcast is PERFECT because there is truly so much about parenting that NO ONE TOLD US! It’s also such a tricky subject because no one wants unsolicited advice, but no one wants to walk blindly into the wild ride of motherhood either. Rachael is a wealth of information and delivers i formation thoughtfully and gracefully, and the guests she has on are stellar as well. In a society that no longer prioritizes raising children with a village, Rachael has created one online and invited us all to join her. Rachael single handedly saved my life and I continue to share her website, and will now share this podcast, with every new mom I know.
