Dry
I think this could be a great podcast if the presenters didn’t just read from a script. The Hound of the Baskervilles episode was dry. It was so flat it sounded like the presenters were bored.

I just finished House of Mirth and wanted to learn more about its historical context and hear some literary analysis. Thought I’d look for a podcast so I could listen while getting things done around the house. This podcast was great. Enjoyed the format of three people talking followed by the...Read full review »

Love your podcast. I love the concise summaries, how you pass the summary between all three announcers and tightly package it into a short show. Your show helps me decide which classics to read. Thank you!

But wish they would expand the novels they choose or rename it. Many have conservative bents and are sometimes verging on polemical. It’s highly curated and not as expansive a list as you would expect from something that evokes world, literature, and novel in its branding. I do love following...Read full review »

I have binged on all episodes at night, when I struggle to fall asleep. I kept struggling to fall asleep because I couldn’t stop listening, BUT it was lovely to catch up on some books I have yet to read and others that I have read and loved - and get to love twice. The reading list itself...Read full review »

Down-to-earth yet insightful, these "conversations" do not stray from the featured "novel." This podcast is refreshing to those who just want the literature. I did not have to make myself listen. The "conversation" format kept my ears tuned.Read full review »

I've started to realize that Podcast are like Etsy. If I think I want something, someone HAS already made that exact thing. I simply just have to look for it. Unfortunately, I don't get to read nearly as often as I'd like. I'm so busy almost all the time, and the few hours...Read full review »

This is my new favorite podcast! I love the novels that they choose to discuss. Even though I’ve read some of these more than once, it’s still really entertaining listening to people discuss them again.

Love this because I’m too lazy to read the books but I like listening to the stories

This show does a great job of bringing these classic (and sometimes hard to read) stories to life! I love that there are 3 "readers" to discuss the novel, because it makes it more engaging and easier to stay focused. The stories become so vivid when they tell them, so that I'm...Read full review »

It goes through the stories of some of the most beloved novels ever written, and the readers add color and some of their personal thoughts about the novels! I was very happy...Read full review »

I love this podcast because it's different than a typical, hours long audiobook. These are only 35 minutes long, but they summarize the whole novel! It's also nice that there are 3 hosts, because I normally tune out after a long time of listening to the same voice. The hosts' insights...Read full review »
