They stopped making new ones in August. Go to Op-Cast instead.

I am very disappointed that TimesSelect has discontinued the individual Op-Ed Columnist Podcast ... the Op-Ed Columnist Podcast added great value to the TimesSelect product . Not to mention giving me the feeling that the I was receiving my moneys worth ...

I've been listening to NYTs "opinion" podcasts for quite awhile; Rich, Dowd, etal. Now, as newspaper/magazine content has become increasingly available in the mp3 format, The Times has decided to go backward, its op/ed podcasts disappearing as fast as the constitution. A real...Read full review »

This podcast is not updated very frequently - less than once a week. All the op-eds are read by professional readers who have very whiny voices and sound like they are reading to a class of first-graders. Why can't the authors read their own peices? Why can't we get more frequent updates?Read full review »

I'm at NYT Select Sub (via weekend print editions). The Select Podcasts (premium) are worth the price of my weekend subscription. The free sampler available here is not indicative of NYTSelect's value.Read full review »

The previous reviewers must have very limited exposure to audio content. Mark Moran does a great job. He's not supposed to be an actor, he's reading an op-ed peice. And the NYT Op-Eds are the most important in the world. Any format that gets these messages out is a winner in my book.Read full review »

I had expected to hear most (if not all) of the Op-Ed pieces from the NY Times. Instead there is just an extremely small sample, read in a boring manner by someone named Mark Moran. The NY Times really blew it with this podcast. What they should have done is have the actual writers of the...Read full review »

For me, it's kind of cool getting these op-ed columns - I missed Sunday's Times and was happy to have Frank Rich's column read out loudRead full review »

While the OP-Ed content is sure to arouse one's curiousity, I, for one, am tired of hearing those premium services adverts. You'd expect one whom listens to pod-cast to also know how to find the NYTimes Web address, sans not-so-subtle audio clues. Drop the ads!Read full review »

I'm a New Yorker living in Europe without a TV, so I depend on good net content to stay up to date with the riveting saga that is the 21st century news landscape. To me, shows like KCRW's On Point and WNYC's On the Media set the bar as far as journalistic quality and thoughtful debate...Read full review »

Short and semi-informative bits of information give a glimpse into the 'Select' service that the NYT has up and running. I like it, a rather fresh perspective - hear instead of read an editorial. Judging from the weekly "teaser" the premium service is probably worth it.Read full review »
