Super great podcast Highly recommended!
I had already started listening to one or so episodes of your podcast before finding out you did one on this tragic story. I already trusted your work so I listened to the Tostee epidsode. I totally agree that he is culpable for some criminal act. Perhaps the criminal laws of New Zealand (wasn't it once a penal colony, I dont remember) don't cover manslaughter or other lesser included offenses. I don't know if the State Prosecutor chose not to let a jury consider lesser offense thus forcing them into so kind of murder finding or nothing. No question in my mind that he deliberately got this poor girl drunk while he stayed quite sober; he repeated or made up many statements solely for purposes of the tape, and deserves to be in jail. I believe he just as well put her over that balcony with his wilful acts while she screamed to go home. I agree he choked her, no doubt a chokehold that's illegal for police to use. I'm so srry she lost her judgment in going home with a lunatic who deliberately labeled himself as thre victim claiming he's "a really nice guy." By the way, thank goodness you don't feel the need to do comedy. I don't like comedic crime. Facts and reasoned opinion, good for you!Read full review »
