“I'm actually a pretty spiritual person, but I was worried about going into listening to Ross and Carrie, because it seemed likely that the premise would lead to a dismissal of faith and believers.
While Ross and Carrie do sometimes laugh because their findings are wild or they find the teachings of particular faiths to be a bit outrageous, they are also very clear about expressing that they can only speak to their own experiences in each investigation. Furthermore, episodes like the ones on Mormonism show that the hosts are willing to make a distinction between the spiritual claims that they find to be questionable and the believers of certain faiths who might be very pleasant, well-rounded people.
The fringe science/health claims investigations are also LOTS of fun, because I've learned about all kinds of practices that I'd never try (but they're still fascinating).
I've recommended this podcast to friends who are atheist and friends who are religious, because I think that there's a lot that can be learned from the curiosity exhibited by Ross and Carrie, no matter your faith background.”Read full review »

“Very glad to have found this entertaining podcast. It's a refreshing change from other skeptical shows. The hosts actually go to meetings, talks, creation museums etc and report back on the idiocy they find, and do it with humour and intelligence. Highly recommended.”Read full review »
