“I am relatively new to Podcasts and look forward to this each week as well as the .5 episodes. I am an executive with 4 out my 8 companies that have a high exposure to Oil and Gas markets across the spectrum of Up, Mid and Downstream. These companies grew very rapidly from 2004 thru 2014 with a slight pause in 2009. We all seem to forget about the money that was made and subsequently reinvested in other assets such as people, equipment and new businesses in that decade. Thanks for keeping positive on the industry and using facts and data to counter opinion and conjecture. It's just like any other market such as defense and automotive, if you go "all in" with one single industry, your risk is high for cyclical impact. We have to keep positive as the professionals in this industry are some of the best in the world and need to be kept motivated through the downturn. Otherwise, we will come out the other side with lesser capabilities and will require government subsidies to exist, much like the Wind and solar dudes.
