“This is an excellent weekly review of oil and gas headlines from around world, despite the best efforts of James Hahn II to make you turn off the podcast whenever he speaks. Mark LaCour is an expert who will simplify and explain the headlines chosen to be discussed for the week. He keeps to the facts and informs the listener on a broad spectrum of topics from upstream to downstream. James Hahn II is either totally out of his element and has no idea what the oil industry is about, or, he plays the perfect heel by feigning ignorance on everything oil and gas related to induce Mark into explaining topics for the lay person. James' random accents are confusing and offensive, his political off-topic side notes are unnecessary from the facts presented, he will randomly talk about movies and TV shows you need to see like an unemployed cousin with too much time on his hands, and the amount of times he says UM will drive you crazy. But, I will still keep listening because Mark LaCour is just so well read and informative. Great podcast for the oil and gas professional, but we would all be better off with Siri reading headlines to Mark LaCour so he can summarize and explain it all to us without his counterpart jumping in to distract and annoy. (Unless James is just feigning ignorance and in that case should just stop doing accents and saying UM).”Read full review »
