Doesn't make it
Tippett's falseness comes screaming through, for me at least. She likes herself way too much. Her delivery is grating and highly affected. She shamelessy fawns over her guests, and each one of them is "in the top of his field" or "she is the leading author in the area of..." Too bad, too, because there should be more journalistic, public-radio type coverage of religion. But this ain't it. Part of the problem, I think, is that she herself is some kind of minister or something, and so rather than examining religion, she's promoting it, which is quite clear from the shows.Read full review »
