Lots of great content and information on how to raise great, healthy boys. This information could be easily applied to both genders, but there is so much toxic masculinity in the world that boys in particular need to be focused on and raised in a way that fosters a strong positive sense of...Read full review »

This podcast is a treasure trove of wisdom. I’ve learned so much about how boys think and feel and how to help my son begin to navigate the world. My husband and I were parents of 2 girls for a full decade before our son joined the family. I had so many blind spots about boyhood and the societal...Read full review »

I gave it a whirl b/c I liked some of the topics, but the audio sounds like listening to a phone call, it’s really annoying. One person sounds like they’re VERY loud and animated right in front of a mic while the other sounds super duper SLOW and far away.
ChristyInIndiana via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/22/24
Great information otherwise marred by amateur audio mix levels. The host is two volume levels louder than the guest author. The ads are 3 volumes louder than the actual podcast. Was there a sound mix done on this? Please fix.

Just reading the titles of this amazing series provided relief, never mind listening to them :) A wealth of information and wisdom - and reassurance.

As a mother who only had sisters, raising boys has often made me question my approach in parenting as well as what’s normal development in boys. This podcast has eased my mind so many times. I find the info on developmental growth interweaved into the shows so helpful. It makes me realize my boys...Read full review »

Janet and Jen have such a wonderful partnership and their combined experience has helped my relationship with my son immensely. Setting more realistic expectations, ideas to help me connect with him, and knowing what the world looks like through his eyes has reduced yelling and conflict and...Read full review »

I’ve been listening for a couple of years, and love the dual perspectives of the co-hosts. This is one of my go-to resources. If there is an issue or concern you have now, or if you wish to be prepared for what’s on the horizon as he grows- there will be an episode that resonates. Don’t be...Read full review »

I love the content, it’s so very helpful. Sometimes they talk or read stuff way too slow and I have to speed them up a little, but still worth the listen if you don’t mind speeding it up.

As a mom who grew up as a LITTLE GIRL, I definitely learned from my son that I had no clue about how boys think! You guys hit the nail on the head all the time! Every episode! I recommend your podcast constantly (because many of the dads out there have forgotten about how they were as boys as...Read full review »

Why are they talking so fast, it’s hard to keep up.

I thought this was a podcast about how to take to boys(like, how to get out of the friend zone) but then all the reviews about “I’m a mother of (random number) and this podcast really helped me” and I noped right out of this podcast 😂👏👏

These two ladies give such great prospective. I love their different views as both a mom of boys and an educator. As a mom of two boys I relate to so much that is shared and have grown so much in my understanding of my boys and their interactions in life.

Have only just found On Boys and listened to 4 shows in a row and felt so immediately supported and heard as a Mumma of 3 little hectic, adorable, angry, feisty, active, exhausted, sweet little boys. I need this so much and can’t wait to dive in to more..and repeat many of them no doubt,...Read full review »

Thank you, Janet and Jennifer, for leading this important conversation about how we can do our best to bring up boys in a way that starts from where they are and encourages them to grow up to be the best men they can be.

I am a mom of 3 boys, 16, 10, and 5, so you can imagine the excitement when I found a local speaker and author whom was creating the community of Boys Alive!! I have been listening to Janet on the radio now for about a year and was able to hear her speak live at an event here in my hometown of...Read full review »

My son is 22, and I so wish I had had this podcast to guide me, as a parent, when he was younger! (The fact that I listen now, anyway, shows just how great it is -- entertaining, too!) Smart, honest, informative, great guests. Such valuable info. Highly recommend!
